Expectations were high for the after the critically acclaimed album Brave New World. It was quite an instant album, but failed to reach the standards of the procedor. It features a few strong tracks like Paschendale, Journeyman and Face In the Sand. The weakest song is first single Wildest Dreams.
The biggest issue for me is the sound. The band decided to release it without being mastered. The result is a very raw, unfinished sound quality. The album cover was heavily debated by the fans and it is far from my fave album artwork.
The tour and many of the tracks worked out great live, Paschendale being the highlights of the concerts 2003.
