The first album as a fan without the mighty Dickinson. An unthinkalble thought really. But it was the reality. Unreal to say the least. For me, it is the first step as a step to nowhere. Blaze is a weak singer for any music, and just not capable for Maiden standards. It`s the band itself to blame for hiring him. The album features some strengh when it comes to songwriting as the opening track Sign Of the Cross, later performed by Bruce on the Brave New World Tour. Other than that it pretty much fails to meet the former standards of the band. But there were worse yet to come..
